How to play.
Lornic is a 3D physics dice tray with customizable effects, dice pools, and a history that remembers every roll. Each pack is its own world — pick one from the home page and it sets the table for your session.
01Choose a pack
The home page shows the available packs. Each pack ships its own effects, textures, table surface, and mood. Selecting a pack takes you straight into the dice tray with that pack loaded.
To switch packs mid-session, use the home button (bottom-left of the tray) to go back to the picker. The page reloads with the new pack — effects and textures reset for a clean start.
02Throwing the dice
-
Pick your dice
Click the dice picker (bottom right). Click a die type to select it; click again to add another, up to six. Click a different type to switch.

Add a modifier (optional)
The small +0 button above the roll button opens a modifier popover. Use the stepper or the +1/+3/+5 presets to add a flat number to your total — handy for things like 2d6+4. Tap an active preset to clear back to zero. The button turns gold when a modifier is set.
-
Throw
Press Space or click the roll button — on mobile, shake your device. The dice tumble across the felt with real physics, settle, and slide to a tidy row at the front of the tray.
-
Read the result
The total flashes at the top of the screen along with a breakdown of every die. Multiple dice are summed automatically. D100 pairs combine into a 1–100 result. When a modifier is set, the dice math and the modifier are shown separately (e.g.
6 + 6 | +4) so it's always clear which numbers came from dice.
03Effects & textures
Each pack ships its own effects and textures. Pick a pack below to browse what it offers — then open the effects and texture menus in the tray to try them out.
Layer a texture on top of any effect for an etched or organic surface. The texture button sits next to the effect picker.
Some textures are inner-object — the die is semi-transparent with something frozen or sealed inside.
04Roll history
Every roll is logged automatically. Click the clock icon (bottom-left) to open the panel. Each entry shows the total, your dice configuration, the breakdown, the active effect, and how long ago it was rolled.
History persists across reloads — your last fifty rolls follow you back. Use Clear to wipe the slate.
